Walking The Malvern Hills

Approximately 4 - 6 hours

Walking North to South along the tops of many of the Malvern Hills from the North Hill to the Hollybush hill via Eastnor Obelisk.

Cycling from The Hackney Marshes to Erith, via two Victorian Pumping Stations

About 2 hrs at a slow pace.

The East End of London has tons of walking routes in and around the various canals and the Thames. I did a little post about one of them here, but this time I wanted to see a bit more in a day and the best way to do that was to get my old bike out.

Now that my photography project looks pretty much how I wanted it to, I’ve turned my attention to polishing it and trying to get it to render quicker in the browser.

One of the reasons I’ve given this some extra attention is perfectly captured in the gif I made for the original post..

After a slump in inspiration, I decided to pick up a new quick project which involved something creative.

During the winter 2020 I started working on an Airflow 2.0 implementation running on Kubernetes, with DAGs running on ECS. There were a few reasons for doing this, other than the obvious which was that I was running out of things to keep me occupied.

SYLO (Sort Your Life Out) is a pomodoro timer for your terminal. Clunky and untested, it felt like a simple project with limited scope that would be a nice way to get experience publishing to the Python package index. I was wrong, I don’t really know what I was thinking trying to render asci art to the terminal in this way. There is not one single test written for this project, so best of luck.
